By partnering with the South Carolina Psychological Association, you can strengthen your connections with psychologists, other mental health professionals who work in private practice, hospitals, schools, community mental health centers, academic institutions, medical schools, and large business organizations throughout the state. Psychology students will also be in attendance.

Call for Papers:  South Carolina Psychological Association is pleased to announce its 2016 Annual Convention Call for Proposals. SCPA's President, Dr. Robert Nelson encourages proposals for workshops, symposia, research papers, and posters from individuals in all settings representing psychology in South Carolina. The Program Committee especially welcomes program submissions relating to the convention's theme "Psychology of Healing and Love: Survivors' stories and the treatment of trauma" and innovative and best practice treatments for those who have experienced trauma. Our goal is to provide another high quality professional development experience with a mix of traditional topics and speakers but also expanding our focus with speakers who are working in less traditional settings. The proposal submission receipt deadline is 5:00pm, Saturday, January 30th

 2016 Psychologically Healthy Workplace Awards

Nominations are now open for APA's 2016 Psychologically Healthy Workplace Awards. The award recognizes organizations that demonstrate a commitment to policies that foster employee health and well-being. Businesses and organizations are evaluated on their efforts in 5 key areas:  employee involvement, work-life balance, employee growth and development, health and safety, and employee recognition.
